Sóller possesses one of the richest and varied cultural offers of the island. In the most folkloric aspect the town has two groups of Majorcan traditional dance that the national and international borders have crossed donor to know the essence of the Balearic Islands.The town has groups of theater, music, autochthonous bands of rock and numerous workshops and activities so that nobody gets bored, either older or younger people. Even a municipal school of music is the seedbed of musical futures. Sóller accommodates annually the folkloric International Festival "Sa Mostra" , which during the warm nights of July congregates the dances of different countries of the world. It´s a reflex of the cheerful spirit of the sollerics that make the brooch of gold to the extense repertoire of popular festivities that animate the town from the beginning to the end of year.

In the Festivities of August dedicated to Sant Bartomeu, it is an unavoidable an appointment to the "correfoc" of the local group Esclatabutzes where the theater is mixed in living, the castles of artificial fires and the gunpowder in a pyrotechnic show. Moreover the city has numerous artisans who, discreetly and with the creativity of its daily work carried out in small family workshops, have contributed to enrich the artistic and patrimonial legacy of the valley.In the chapter dedicated to the folklore it does not have to leave sideways the religious tradition that it transforms into ardor during the processions of Easter when about a thousand persons go out to the street with the dresses that here are denominated "caperutxes" with a dozen of brotherhoods of penitents.Mention also has to be made on the tapestries of flowers that cover the streets of the center of the city when in the spring the procession of Corpus Christi is celebrated.
